Provide Confident Assurance to Your Organization

A Fearless Partnership - CCG and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay

May 23, 2018

Empowering children’s lives with mentorship is just one of the impacts that Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Tampa Bay makes every day. The non-profit organization, which serves nearly 3,000 children across the bay area, delivers essential tools to develop lifelong, purposeful relationships. CCG has been a proud sponsor of BBBS through multiple events throughout 2017 and 2018.

One of BBBS’ largest events this spring was Over the Edge – an interactive fundraiser raising awareness and funds to pair little brothers and sisters with mentors across the area. Also coined “Toss the Boss”, the Over the Edge event took place in Downtown Tampa, where our fearless CEO, Dan Phelps, repelled down 17 stories. Through the generous support of employees, friends, and partners, CCG helped raise over $1,800 for the event. Sr. Account Executive and fellow Big Brother at BBBS, Brian Metz, led the fundraiser at CCG along with the company’s Community Council.

Being fearless doesn’t just apply scaling a building, everyday mentors make an impact in lives of children facing adversity. “I’ve been a Big Brother of Angel’s for almost 4 years,” says Brian Metz, “He is a fantastic young man who has grown and matured a lot over the years and his mother said he treasures our time together.  It’s incredibly gratifying to have the opportunity to spend quality time with Angel and very fulfilling to know that I am having an impact in his life”.

BBBS benefits children through their school-based and community-based programs across the US. Earlier this year, CCG partnered the BBBS through Companies for Kids Invitational in Tampa, Florida, and the Bright Realty Golf Classic in Irving, Texas. CCG hopes to continue this partnership through 2018 and for many events to come. To learn more about BBBS and how to donate, visit https://bbbstampabay.org/.
